How we measure speed
A short note on the numbers you’ll see on vehicle pages, class hubs, and the fastest lists. This catalog currently covers 905 GTA Online vehicles, last generated 2026-09-17.
Top speed
When a vehicle has a community-tested top speed on file, that figure is the headline, shown in mph and km/h. Those tests are the numbers players usually search for. If we don’t have a tested figure yet, vehicle pages fall back to the game-file speed and label it as such. The fastest-car and fastest-motorcycle lists only rank community-tested vehicles so game-file numbers don’t jump the queue. We don’t invent missing tests.
Lap times and handling bars
Lap times and the speed / accel / brake / grip bars come from the same catalog export as prices and spawn IDs. Rank-in-class for lap stays with that source. Rank-in-class on the headline speed uses the same rule as the lists: tested figures first, then game files.
Price and sell cap
List price is the in-game purchase price. Resale is the game’s sell figure, then capped at Rockstar’s $500,000 daily sell limit when that would otherwise pay more.
Garage, Market, and Compare
Garage is for organizing vehicles you own across GTA Online properties. Market is player-to-player listings (not Rockstar’s in-game store). Compare lines up to three vehicles and can be shared with a permalink. Those tools stay on the site even when a page is built for search.
