Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how GTAVehicles (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at gtavehicles.net, processes personal information when you use our website and related services (the “Service”).

GTAVehicles is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. See our Legal & disclaimers page.

This policy applies to visitors and signed-in users of GTAVehicles. Where local laws grant stronger rights (for example GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or similar), we intend to honor those rights as described below.

Account & identity (via GTAFriends OAuth). When you sign in, we receive identifiers and profile fields from GTAFriends such as your GTAFriends user ID, username, avatar URL, platform, bio, supporter status, admin status (for moderation), theme preference, public profile URL, and — when linked — a Discord user ID used only on our servers to match MergeMarket listings. We create or update a local user record linked to that account.

Marketplace & garage. Vehicle listings you claim or create (names, platforms, tags, photos, visibility), garage placements, and related timestamps.

Reports & moderation. Listing reports you submit, and actions taken by GTAFriends admins (for example removing inappropriate photos).

Technical & security data. IP address, browser/device information, request logs, and Cloudflare Turnstile challenge results on sensitive forms (such as listing uploads). We use an HttpOnly session cookie (gv_session) for authentication.

Theme preference. After sign-in we may apply the theme you set on GTAFriends and store a local copy in browser storage (gv_theme_id) so the look stays consistent.

We use this information to:

• Provide the catalog, market, garage, and listing features
• Authenticate you via GTAFriends and keep your session secure
• Claim MergeMarket inventory keyed to your Discord link (server-side only)
• Moderate listings and respond to reports
• Protect against abuse and automated spam (including Turnstile)
• Apply your ecosystem theme preference after sign-in
• Operate, secure, and improve the Service

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with processors who help run the Service (for example Cloudflare for hosting, D1 database, R2 media storage, and Turnstile). Profile updates may sync from GTAFriends via a secured webhook. Discord IDs are not exposed in public market APIs.

Account and listing data are retained while your account is active and as needed for moderation, security, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your GTAVehicles account data; deleting your GTAFriends account also triggers ecosystem cleanup where configured.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@gtavehicles.net. You can also manage your primary identity on GTAFriends.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
